My camp goal

This year my camp goal is to get into the river because they go fast and there freezing cold and I hate the cold. To help me get over my fear i'm going to choose my attitude and stay positive so I can think how i'm going to be stronger than my fears and beat them. If i stay positive and happy I think i'll forget about it.

Paint my room

In my opinion kids Should be allowed to paint their room however they want?

I'm the one that's in there all the time if I was in there and no one else was then i should be allowed because I spend time in there not my family. I should be able to do my passion in there. If we move out it can be painted over so why should I not be able to paint it?

If I spill paint on every thing on mine its my problem I will sort it out and my parent don't have to spend hours and hours trying to clean it I will tidy everything up so I can paint in and wait and wait for it to dry

Last of all if I break something it's my fault I can do whatever I want with it and if it breaks it's not your problem it's mine I made it in the first place so I can't whinge to you about something getting broken

So after all on those reasons I should be allowed to paint my room. What do you think?

the following 3 weeks we have been working on a piece of writing heres mine.

A scientist just developed a new potion that turns people invisible. But he's not sure if he should let people use it. Should he let people use it or not.

He should not let people use it there could be really really really bad side effects such as fainting and poisonous items in that specific potion. What if it knocked you out for 10 minutes or something crazy like that. What if it poisoned you from a liquid inside it or something.

Also there's other bad things you could do with it such as stealing or any sort of  crime like hurting people that do good things around the cities or towns.But with this potion you could spy on people so it can be good because you could spy on bad people around the town. They might do bad stuff like crime usage, like robbing, shooting people or ransom/kidnapping someone then making people give them money then letting the person they kidnapped go.

last of all it could do something different like instead of going invisible it might make you fly and if there two potion that equal up to the same color. they might get given the potion and I could make you fly, read minds, superfast or walk through walls. Also somethings other things so it can be really dangerous so in my opinion the scientist should not go and sell/give away his dangerous potion.

After all i think that it's bad/dangerous and bad to give away/sell a potion when there's all these things that could go wrong so if i got asked if i wanted it I would say no. What would you say?

Today was the day that we played activities. some included water and cones to dodge.in my group there was people names Cameron, Logan, Levi, Aroha, Kristie and me. One of the activities were to get your team to make a map of New Zealand. It was so fun!!😁

The cyber smart game

Today we played a cyber smart game. It was all about Chromebook safety and how to do the commands on them. One example was we had to insert a link and  show our understanding of how to do the command in the google drawings, docs and slides.

Introduction	Is scootering in school good or bad? In my opinion i think scootering should be allowed in school because it gets people from one place to another. It would take all your time out and you wont gets spare time to do things. You could just could get to places quicker
1. (PEE)	It gets people motivated to get outside and move around. It also helps them get fit and healthy. They can get use to it and then maybe instead on using scooters they could run.
2. (PEE)	It gives you a break on learning in the classroom.It will help with fitness and you can take your mind off learning for 5 or so minutes and enjoy the freash air outside.
3. (PEE)	Gets you to different landmarks quicker and easier.If i want to get from the office to room 16 i could just scoot there then i would get there quicker than running and stopping and then it would help everyday from getting to 1 place to another.
Ending	Overall it's a good idea to have scooters in schools to get from a place to another. But would you use them correctly?

choir performed

On Thursday the choir performed some songs to a ordinance. we sang history, one call away, shut up and dance and melody. when we were just about to start singing i was nervous then when we got into it i started to come over my fear and just didn't care what people thought about me because I tried to get to my highest level.

Sleeping

how much sleep do you need?

Ahhhhh i cant sleep “toss turn roll”. It is unbelievable how much sleep you need. I might be grumpy but i want to stay up all night on my tablet.Ohhh now i know why i need to sleep i need up to 9 hours of sleep.

It is fascinating how much sleep I need. 6-13 year olds need 9-11 hours of sleep. isn't that interesting. The main reason to sleep is to get energy for the next day. 3-5 year olds should have at least 10 hours of sleep. If they don't get much sleep they couldn't do what they would do at school and cry. 14-17 year olds need 8-10 hours of  sleep. They need the sleep so they can get on with there work and have energy for the next day. 18+ year old should have 7-9 hours of sleep. They need to sleep to get energy for work and get on with your things to do. It depends how old you are to pick adults pick the time they go to bed and kids get told when the have to by their parents

Your brain has a 24 hour timer which allows you to sleep at night and stay awake all day. Like when you travel to a different country your brain has to try to change time and you will get jet lag. That's why it is easier to get to sleep at night than trying to get to sleep at daytime.

If it hard for you to get sleep you could try to go to bed earlier even in the weekends then you will feel like you had enough sleep or you could lay in bed before you have to go to bed so your relaxed for when you have to and you could read a book while you wait for bedtime or you could turn off anything that makes brightness and lay there for an hour then go to bed so your use to the dark

When we yawn it normally means we are tired but we also yawn for other reasons. One of  the reasons are because you could be nervous or stressed to do something like talk in front on an ordinance for the first time ever.

It is a lot of  sleep to get your energy packed up for the next day but it's worth it how much sleep do you have? “good night”

calendar art 2016

we were told we could pick any picture for calendar art and i picked the painting one. We have been working on our calendar art and i am making one where we have to paint a thing in the sky i painted a sun,rainbow and rain clouds. My favorite part of making it was my practice copy because i got good feedback from the teacher and friends. Logan gave me feedback on my practice copy.

Amazing work Josiah. I like how you picked hunting but for the Paralympics. Im wondering how would the blind people participate in it because how would they know what they're shooting at and how would they know where they are? I´m wondering if you like hunting do you?

Term 3 recount

I have been working on this piece of writing and I think I am nearly done. If you find something I can work on, please post a comment with some advice that you think would make my recount better.

Chuck the Chicken

It had to be that day. I was sick at home so all I got to do was watch the video. The kids in my group went in the hall after lunch. They played Chuck the Chicken for Kiwi Can. They played it to have some fun and learn about resilience.

The rules for the first round was you had to keep on passing it around the circle then when Nathan said Chuck the Chicken! The person with the chicken would chuck the chicken somewhere in the room. It looked pretty fun.

The rules in the second and last round was the same you had to keep on passing it around the circle then when Nathan said chuck the chicken the person with the chicken would chuck the chicken somewhere but the person that chucked it could chuck it anywhere.

Another rule was the people that were trying to get the chicken  had to go under and over and under and over until the person that started was at the front again. The people that were chucking it had to run around the circle and each person in the circle had to do it and get back before the next person could go and the groups had like a one person difference so I didn't think that would do much to make one team win. When I watched it I really wanted to play it. In the first round the people were getting the chicken and passing it until nathan said CHUCK THE CHICKEN! Then they had to chuck the chicken and meanwhile the people that were trying to block the chicken had to pick it up and get into a line then if they got it before the people that were chucking the chicken they won but if they didn't they lost which means the other team won. Then in round two which is the final round they had to chuck the chicken anywhere but the people that were trying to block it had to do under and over and under and over and if they got it before the people that were running around the circle they had to get to there spot quickly than the other person had to get around quickly and then everyone had to get around the circle before the other team did. The chicken was a cow but it sounded like a pig so it seemed weird.

I felt sad but happy at the same time because I was sad that I was sick so I couldn't play it but I was happy that I saw it and how enjoyable it looked.

If I could make a sport I would make the title be wheelchair paintball. The rules would be you have to wear a vest to know which team your in. You cant shoot for 20 secs because everyone starts in one area which would be in the middle then they need to scatter. Your allowed to lay down and seek and you can pick up bullets off the ground. How to play you have to keep running away and no camping.

what I could do to fundraiser for the Paralympic New Zealand athletes

I could sell hot dogs out side of stores to get money to give it to them- I figured it out because I done it for my league club with my family and friends-The purpose is for people that are going in the stores or saw the hot-dogs will come and get some.

Make a party or celebration and you have to have a ticket to get in and the tickets are money-I figured it out by thinking of party's or a club lunch which my league club does and make it so you have to pay-The purpose is for people might see a sign and think to buy one and inside there is free drinks and food to eat and you can take some away back to your house and even maybe make it a theme for maybe like a dog or a super hero or even a plant or zombie


Raffles for anyone and the prize would be to go watch warriors vs cowboys with 5 other friends-The reason to get money because a lot of people would want to go-But you can get as much tickets as you want.

Who could I pick?...

If I was at the Paralympics for cycling I would pick my friend Logan because hes funny and positive on everything I do and if I want to do something that I want to be really good he will tell me what I need to work on. and he will support me all the way and he will make me feel like I can do it. He is always there for me and makes me laugh and would be good for me.

Im in the crowd for the Olympics

If i got to pick what happens at the opening ceremony at the Olympics they would all be running around in there uniform then they all started posing depending on there country New Zealand would be doing a haka pose America would be dabbing Canada would be in a marching pose and Hungry will be rubbing there tummy

Imagine if the Olympics came to New Zealand

If the Olympics came to New Zealand I think Kane Williamson would be a good person to go. he is a good cricket player he has good sportsmanship and he just will be nice even if he wins. he will still say good job and like nice try you nearly got there. if he lost he would say good and nice things to the winner and everyone that competed. I like Kane Williamson because hes good and he does not argue with the empire. He would always be nice even if he lost and he wouldn't mind if he lost. He is good at batting but he inst a bowler. He would always let people be before him. Hes not afraid of hitting the ball. He has bowled in the past but never use to like bowling. He always is one of the catchers that dive and one hander. He can bowl with both hands and can bat with both hands.

My DLO for my digital sandpit. When I started it I was annoyed. Learning to code was frustrating until I got the hang of it.  I learnt a lot of things like how to move characters at the same time. How to make them shoot up, down, left and right at the same time. Code.org is the only code website I know of right now. Mine is about making bullies better people. People gave me feedback of what to change to make it better. I made the changes they said.
