Sever weather information report!

In writing we have been learning and writing about severe weather.
This is my information report!

Thunderstorms are apart of clouds but they are one of the most deadliest weathers for mankind, they are so dangerous that they kill more people than tornadoes!

Lightning is a bright flash of electricity produced by a thunderstorm. All thunderstorms produce lightning and are very dangerous. If you hear the sound of thunder, then you are in danger from lightning. Lightning kills and injures more people each year than hurricanes or tornadoes; between 75 to 100 people.

A Thunderstorm is a storm with lightning and thunder. It's produced by a cumulonimbus cloud, usually producing gusty winds, heavy rain and sometimes hail. The basic ingredients used to make a thunderstorm are moisture, unstable air and lift. You need moisture to form clouds and rain.

A Thunderstorm is formed when The air cools as it rises. Water vapor condenses and forms cumulus clouds. When condensation occurs, heat (latent heat/energy ) is released and helps the thunderstorm grow. At some point, condensation high in the cloud (now in the form of water droplets and ice) falls to the ground as rain.

There are several types of lightning like these lightning types, Beaded Forked, Bolt from the blue, Ribbon, Zig-zag, Staccato, Forest and several more. There are also types on thunders, but to much to list.

Thunderstorms are dangerous Despite their small size, all thunderstorms are dangerous. Every thunderstorm produces lightning. Strong winds, hail, and tornadoes are also dangers associated with some thunderstorms.

Thunderstorms mostly occur in the spring and summer months and during the afternoon and evening hours, but they can occur year-round and at all hours. Along the Gulf Coast and across the southeastern and western states, most thunderstorms occur during the afternoon.

At very close range, thunder is capable of causing property damage. The shock wave, pressure, and propagation of thunder may cause exterior and interior damage to structures. When heard at 6 mile (1 km) from lightning, thunder will rumble with several loud claps.

The average temperature of lightning is around 20000 °C (36000 °F). Which is hotter than the surface of the sun.The speed of sound is around 767 miles per hour (1,230 kilometres per hour),The speed of light is around 669600000 miles per hour (1080000000 kilometres per hour).

It is estimated that there are around 1,800 thunderstorms that occur across our planet every day. They are mostly in florida and in the year the average amount of days on thunderstorms are 130.

Thunderstorms occur in association with a type of cloud known as a cumulonimbus. They are usually accompanied by strong winds, heavy rain, and sometimes snow, sleet, hail, or, in contrast, no precipitation at all. Thunderstorms may line up in a series or become a rainband, known as a squall line.

In the average on the thunderstorms there are a lot on thunderstorms every day but only 10% of the time they kill people but that doesn't mean they're not dangerous.

severe weather

We have been learning about severe weather.

In art we made a lightning painting.
First we made the background with dark colored dye. Then we made our silhouette with black paper and white crayon. With the white crayon I drew a city but we had to wait to put it on. Then we had to the cloud and lightning with white and black paint. Then we were done!
This is mine!

Tessellation

In geometry we have been learning about Tessellation. So first we got a shape I picked hexagon then we had to make some major adjustment to it.
