Tessellation

In geometry we have been learning about Tessellation. So first we got a shape I picked hexagon then we had to make some major adjustment to it.

Groth mindset VS Fixed mindset

In Power Time we have been doing something about fixed mindsets. We watched a video about the fact that if you believe you can do anything then you can. It was Star Wars themed. Luke Sky Walker was trying to lift a crashed ship and he said I can't do it and it's impossible and he gave up. So I made a poster to show what you can say to yourself when you feel you can't do something. A growth mindset is where you say you can do it and a fixed mindset is were you say I can't do this.

Penguin Art

WALT:we have been learning to create effects that look like feather to make our art better.#

For art we have been making penguins so first we sketched the penguin then we painted it black. Then we waited a day then painted it orange and black then we done the eye.

We have been working on our art we have been making something called rainy day art it is fun. First we got a white pastel and we drew the rain and puddles. Then we dyed it 3 different colors to make the clouds

Weather and Climate/Information Report

Antarctica is the windiest,driest and coldest continent in the world. As it’s on the bottom of the world it has extremely cold weather.

When the world tilts and the south pole goes towards the sun and when it turn to the north pole it goes away from the sun so Antarctica is only seen on one side. The hottest temperature in Antarctica ever recorded is 18.5 °C and the coldest temperature ever recorded was−89.2 °C. Storms can go on for days or even weeks when a storm is really bad all the penguins huddle and warm each other up. To be an iceberg it must be 5 meters across if it's any smaller it's known as a growler.

I would love to go to Antarctica the only problem would be how cold it is so I think I could not stand being in Antarctica.

Antarctica description

For the last few weeks, we have be writing an description about Antarctica so I thought to share it on my blog!



Antarctica is a really cold place in fact it's the coldest place on earth. Antarctica is measured for the coldest place ever found in the world.

Antarctica has thousand of mounds full of snow and ice. In Antarctica in my mind it would look really white and bland and have a lot of mountains full on ice and snow. In my mind the sound in Antarctica would be the wind whistling and roaring and howling on there times it got really cold(even though it's cold there at the hottest)also in Antarctica I think that it would feel like it would be so cold and freezing but at the same time it would feel so awesome to reach Antarctica and you would so much to tell when you got back home. 

Antarctica is endangered because global warming it could melt the ice which means the animals have nowhere to live in Antarctica.
